Thanking God for 2013
As we concluded, to the glory of God, the 100 days fast at the Redeemed Christian Church of God some couple of days ago, it dawned on me that the first quarter of year 2013 had gone. But then, flashing back to 2013, i cannot help but ponder on the mercy of God showered on me and my family in that great year.In summary, the last three months were awesome.First was was my appointment as Coordinator of Christian Religious Studies in mid October at Redeemer's University, Nigeria where i teach in the Department of English. Before the end of that same month, i was already found appointable for the position of Senior Lecture in the Department of English, after a rigorous interview session. .The testimonies had just started. Though, as at October 10, i had not applied for any visa, not to talk of travelling to the U S, however on November 3, i jetted out of the country with Professor Ademola Dasylva of the University of Ibadan and Dr. Dairo of Olabisi Onabanjo University for a conference in Atlanta Georgia. My two weeks stay in the US afforded me the opportunity to visit three additional States. Back home, we entered the season of celebrating God in the life of my best friend, lover and wife who turned 40 on November 22. Thank God for 2013. Trusting him for greater moments in 2014.
